MEMORABLE CHAMPIONS

The star of the Games was American Alvin Kraenzlein, who became a multiple champion by winning the 60m, the 110m hurdles, 200m hurdles and the long jump. But Paris 1900 proved to be more of a success for the host nation, no doubt helped by the fact several events only featured French competitors. And with events spread over five months, the memories from the second Modern games were long lasting memories in more ways than one.
